Photoshop Custom Shapes, Styles, Actions and much more!

by Bentley 18. February 2010 09:20

I continually get questions regarding applying logos and watermarks in Photoshop and it is a lot easier than you might think! I put together this easy 4 part tutorial on getting that real professional look without a lot of hassles or technospeak. Parts 1 & 2 take you through creating and saving your logos as custom shapes and putting them to work as separate Photoshop layers. Parts 3 and 4 will cover how to create separate “actions” for vertical and horizontal images as well as how to set the whole thing up to detect individual image orientation itself and automating the complete logo and watermarking process! Here is the first video:

Here is the second video:

Keep checking back, the next two videos of this series will be up soon!

More Free Training Opportunities

by Rachel 28. August 2009 15:59

By now you know about our online training opportunities via web classes, watching recorded web classes, and calling customer service for step-by-step instruction.  We're getting ready to add a new learning tool for our customers.

We will be launching a scheduled, live training program here in the front lobby at H&H Color Lab.  Our local customers can come in to a one-hour training session.  It will be an open forum, so questions can be asked about what is taught, and then the instructor will spend some time answering questions about anything else that you'd like to discuss.

Our first such class will be on Thursday, September 10 at 10:00 am.  Come and join us for coffee, and take part in this casual, open discussion about tips for designing several Black Tie Press products.  Bentley will set up his computer in the lobby from 10 - 11 a.m. and you get to set the agenda!

Tennessee Convention and Twitter Prizes

by Rachel 10. August 2009 11:07

Bentley and Connie are at the Tennessee state convention yesterday and today.  They are having a great time seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends at our metal display booth:

We are giving away some tweet prizes to some of our Twitter friends.   Mac brown won a set of skinny minis by being the first to say "Show me the mini's".  Gil Brady won 10 free dog tags by coming into the booth and asking "Who let the dogs out".   Congrats to Mac and Gil!

Feeling left out?   Make sure you're following us on Twitter.   We will be doing this again next weekend at the Louisiana State Convention.   You can find us easier by searching for #lappa. We hope to see you there!
